Canada Pair Project

Researchers at Western University are looking for participants for a large-scale study on dating experiences. Specifically, we are looking to recruit people who are currently seeing someone new, and learn how their dating experiences unfold over the next six months.

Note: People who are seeing someone very casually are still eligible for the study. If you stop seeing the person, no worries! We will continue sending you surveys each week, asking you about your single life.

This study is the first of its kind, and we hope that it will greatly improve our understanding of how people’s dating experiences change and develop over time.

To be eligible to participate, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. You must currently be seeing someone new. Specifically, we are looking for people who went on their first date with a current dating partner fewer than four weeks ago.
  2. You must currently live in either Canada or the United States.

What the study entails. First, you will be asked to complete an online questionnaire about yourself and your dating experiences. Next, you will be emailed a short survey (less than three minutes) each week for six months. Finally, you will be emailed two more surveys, one and two years from now.

Compensation. Each component of the study will be compensated separately. For the initial survey, you will be entered into one of three $100 Amazon.ca gift card draws. For the weekly surveys, you will be paid up to $50 CAD ($2 for each weekly survey). Finally, you will be entered into a $100 Amazon.ca gift card draw for each of the two follow-up surveys.

If you are interested in participating, please email us at canadapairproject@gmail.com, or fill out the contact form below. One of our research assistants will get back to you soon!
